Areas of Support

Financial Aid

We believe that finances should never be an obstacle between a child and a chance for high-quality early childhood education. Your contributions allow us to offer sliding scale tuition to all of our families in need. In 2017-2018, our financial aid program assisted 71 of the 84 children at Friends Center. Read more

Mark R. Kravitz Fund

Established in 2012 as a memorial to Mark R. Kravitz, a distinguished jurist and Friends Center advocate, this fund empowers Friend Center’s Emotional Wellbeing Program, which provides all the families in our community access to invaluable emotional wellbeing support and trauma-informed care as needed. General Operating

From healthy snacks and creativity inspiring toys, to professional development workshops and community events, the Friends Center mission has many facets. Your gifts to our general operating fund help us keep our mission strong as we support our children, families and staff. Expansion

The number of infants and toddlers in need of high-quality ECE in New Haven is more than triple the number of available spaces. To make matters worse, these spaces are dramatically unaffordable for many New Haven families and they vary drastically in terms of quality and hours. In response, Friends Center is expanding our infrastructure to serve more children, families, teachers and communities with high-quality early care and education.
