Friends Center for Children has undertaken a $4,425,000 Capital Campaign to fund construction and care of a 9,200 square foot building; community outreach and expansion of early education programs; financial aid for families; endowment growth and strategic development activities.

Your gift to the Capital Campaign ensures that children, families, teachers and the community have the early childhood education opportunities and resources that they need to succeed.

Gifts to the Capital Campaign may be made over 3 years or a period convenient to the donor. Gifts may be made without restriction or designated for a specific purpose. Naming opportunities are available at leadership giving levels. Learn more about our Campaign Goals.

Unrestricted Gifts: Unrestricted gifts are encouraged and allow Friends Center to apply your contribution where it is most needed. If you prefer to designate your gift, please choose from the following:

Building: Contributions to support the construction of our new building allow us to serve many more children in a fully supportive environment. The building addresses the critical shortage of spaces for high quality early education in New Haven. Naming opportunities are available for spaces within the building and grounds.

Expanded Programs: Friends Center is expanding its programs to include Family Workshops, an Internship Program, Teaching Workshops, a Written Curriculum, an Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Program and community outreach. Learn more about our Program Vision.

Mark R. Kravitz Fund: Gifts to the Mark R. Kravitz Fund support parenting workshops, internships and direct intervention for children and families who have experienced trauma. The Fund, established in 2012, honors the memory of Mark, a devoted father, highly respected jurist and early friend of Friends Center.

Financial Aid: Contributions to financial aid help to assure equal access to high-quality care for all families. Named financial aid funds can be established with a gift of $10,000 or greater.

Endowment: Gifts to the Endowment help to assure that high-quality, early education continues to be available for future generations.
